MONET
LOWMONET is a 10,500km subsea cable connecting Boca Raton in the USA to Fortaleza and Santos in Brazil, ready for service in 2017. Co-owned by Meta (AS32934) and Google (AS15169) with Angola Cables, MONET is the primary carrier of financial data on the New York-São Paulo corridor, used by emerging markets FX desks and cryptocurrency trading firms arbitraging between North and South American exchanges. CableAlert monitors MONET via BGP telemetry on AS32934 and AS15169, with RIPE Atlas probes measuring latency between New York and São Paulo anchor nodes.
