Amitié

MEDIUM
London ↔ New York

Amitié is a 6,800km transatlantic subsea cable connecting Bude (UK), Bordeaux (France), and Boston (USA), ready for service in 2023. Co-owned by Microsoft (AS8075) and Meta (AS32934) with Aqua Comms, Amitié supplements MAREA capacity on the transatlantic financial data corridor. Its Bude landing point is close to Grace Hopper's UK landing station. CableAlert monitors Amitié through the same ASN telemetry as MAREA, distinguishing events by correlating RIPE Atlas latency deltas with BGP signal timing.
